Now that I’m all natural, I thought it would be a good idea to update my regimen. I have to keep in mind that my regimen continues to be a growth regimen until I reach my goal of returning to hip length. That means protective styling, increased water intake, a reasonable diet, supplements and exercise. Uh, did I mention protective styling already? This is not as easy as the first time around because I seriously njoy my natural texture. Who knew I’d have curlies that would be so much fun to play in. Ah well. Even so, protective styling is the name of the game….for now.
As with my former regimen, I cut out using heat on my hair. No flat ironing, no blowfrying, not hot curling. That’s not difficult for me to keep up at all since I’ve always been too lazy to really heat style my hair anyway. But, I may heat style for my birthday in June but, that’s not etched in stone.
Anyhoo… my regi. Here’s what I do and what I use.
[Note: You'll notice (*)starred items are my own formulations and part of the NJoy Essentials Long & Strong hair line, soon to be released for general purchase.]

Scalp wash weekly (*Stimulating Scalp Wash)
ACV Rinse, Aphogee 2 minute reconstructor, nettle/peppermint tea rinse: As needed

Spritz (water, aloe juice, panthenol) ~ also used as a daily moisturizer, as needed
Giovanni Direct Leave In
Oil mix (Olive, avocado, wheatgerm oil)
*Better Ends Butter
Fish Oil (Omega 3-6-9)
My protective styling choices right now are twists and buns. This allows regular access to my scalp and strands for treatments. In addition, I keep a positive expectation of growth, and so it does. With this regimen, I have been able to consistently average an inch per month in growth. And by taking care of my ends and length, I am able to retain all that I grow. And so can you.
I hope this helps. My Long & Strong line has been developed in response to all of the requests that I continue to receive from the many lovely and supportive ladies that continue to fuel my life with joy. I love you all and will continue to share, encourage and pray for your success in all that you do.
“Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.” ~ 3 John 1:2
