  1. ok sounds great! i've been using the regular gnc lately..i've tried maxi-hair country life before, can't say if i noticed any difference though...i will try the andrew lessman after i finish the gnc! will definitely keep ya posted! for the oil rinse, should i mix like 50/50? i'm sorry but i've never used it before, i only use evoo with my conditioner. i wouldn't even know what brand or anything like that to get...please don't laugh...lol
  2. Thanks! I sure appreciate the encouragement, really needed it...I've never used peppermint or nettles before but I will try and pick sum up soon though! Will order everything I need for ur mix, and I'm working out now so that's a plus...how are the hsn-w supplements? They have sum pretty good herbs in there and I've never saw it before. I'm familiar with some ppl using the ingredients that are in them separately, but Its interesting to see a pill that infused them together like that! Would like to know what did u notice, if anything at all while using them? Have you ever heard of Andrew lessmans hair skin and nail vitamins? They have the same ingredients in them as hairfinity and only cost $13.90...I'm taking Gnc brand now
  3. Thanks for replying! That's great, I kno sum women report of shedding with sulfur...I use groaut oil and it has msm in it...when I first started it, it would shed a Lil but then it stopped. I really need some accelerated growth and the groaut isn't really doing anything for me right now. I'm almost 8 weeks post and I should have more new growth than I do right now...maybe I just need a break from the groaut, I'm a Lil down because its like I really don't have to too much to show for 8weeks...smh...anyway I will give this a go and let you know how it goes! Also I will apply it with my fingers to scalp, so I have a Lil more control over how much goes on. Can't be dripping oil everywhere! Lol...I'm a Lil past APL my goal is to be full MB length for now
  4. Hi njoy! I'm new to the forum, and let me just say you are so inspiring! I just love it!!! I so want to try this sulfur mix! Did u experience any shedding from it, curius about that? TIA... May you have a blessed day!
  5. Hello! I'm a new comer as well. When I saw your results I was amazed! I already ordered my sulfur and can't wait to start using it. I'm currently BSL and want to be MBL by the end of this year. If im not mistaking, by you co-washing everyday you mainly wore wigs right? Did you ever wear your hair out? If so, what type of styles did you wear?
  6. wow i am new, and i saw your hair journey and it is amazing how long its gotten...i hope to try this and see how long mine will get. my hair is around shoulder length and the longest part is alittle past my shoulders but i really want long hair and have for awhile now so i hope that i reach atleast bsl in 5 or 6 months and waist in a year...i hope that is accomplishable<----if thats a word lol...thanks for your inspiration...i hope i can make it!

Flat iron for motivation

by NJoy on 02-16-2014 at 12:50 PM
Just as I was starting to get frustrated with my natural hair, I decided to flat iron and my thickness is more than motivation to keep it up. Here are my pics.

Can I be real right now?

by NJoy on 02-13-2014 at 09:17 PM
[I'm posting this here because I'm away from my laptop and don't have the credentials to sign in to my main blog. So, I'll post here and share upstairs later]

So as I was saying, can I be real right now? Maintaining my natural hair is more effort than I care for. I'm not saying that I don't love being natural, because I do. I'm saying, as a low-maintenance, hair-lazy sort of Diva, I am doing the MOST caring for my natural hair. Well, let me back up. It's really not the maintenance

Getting back on track.

by NJoy on 08-23-2013 at 07:39 PM
For months I have been trying my best to stay on track with my challenges, blogging and delivering orders while my father was in the hospital in serious condition. On Friday, August 16, 2013, my father passed away and now joins my mom in glory. But still, there was work to do. With 4 brothers, it seemed the bulk of the funeral arrangements work was solely on me, and that was fine. At least it kept me too busy to consider the gravity of my loss. But, for a few days after the funeral, I crashed.

Baggied bunning. The key to my off-the-chain retentionin 2010

by NJoy on 11-28-2012 at 10:32 AM
So, I'm back to what worked so well for my retention in 2010. I'm back to baggied bunning.

I've been hesitant about trying it because the last detangling nightmare during my transition that ended up with me cutting huge knots out of my hair was when I lumped my hair together. During my transition, I had to keep my hair in sections or it would tangle terribly. So now that I'm all natural and my hair is long enough to bun, I want to get back to baggy bunning because my

Two months post BC

by NJoy on 11-19-2012 at 09:00 PM
Let me begin by saying, I LOVE my natural hair. I'm so glad that I made the decision to stop relaxing and transition to natural hair. Don't get me wrong. My hair was healthy and growing fine while relaxed. Well, that is, after I learned how to take care of my relaxed hair.

But, when I started to stretch my relaxers --that is, waiting longer periods than my normal 8 weeks to do my touch ups-- I could see the night and day difference in the thickness of the new growth and my relaxed
